You love the idea of earning an income (or at least some money) by selling your art. There's just one problem...
I'm too shy/old/busy/inexperienced.
What should I spend my time on?
I won't make any money.
Where & who should I sell my art to?
I'll never be the one to tell you it's a quick or easy process. It usually takes time (ie. at least a few years) to build a thriving art business, even a part-time one.
But it is possible and can be VERY fulfilling!
Maybe you're just starting out. Or maybe you've been an artist for awhile, but haven't seen any real traction yet. And you have concerns...
“Thank you so much for the great review and answering my many questions. It's given me the confidence boost I needed to help me move forward."
“Thank you so much for your time and insight. I made so many notes of what I need to update on my website and work moving forward. I'm excited and motivated to make this into a successful career."
“I feel so fired up to create more work! You gave me some excellent actionable points. I really needed some feedback to combat my imposter syndrome also. Thank you."
“The coaching session was stellar! Shannon answered my long list of questions regarding trade shows, portfolios, productivity, business strategy, and more."
“Investing in a consultation with Shannon gave me that extra push of knowledge, thoughtful feedback, and positive vibes I needed to validate my move into the surface design pattern space."
“Shannon instantly put me at ease with her affable manner and provided constructive feedback on my work and valuable insights into the business of pattern design."
When you're short on time and want feedback on a new design or have an important question or two you want answered, this shorter session gives us just enough time to dive into specifics together.
Each consultation includes a recording of our session so you can review our discussion later on.
If you haven't worked with Shannon before please read through the FAQ section BEFORE booking.
This session is perfect for when you want plenty time for me to review your portfolio and offer suggestions. We can also delve into art business topics like marketing, building your client list, and more.
Each consultation includes a recording of our session so you can review our discussion later on.
Because of the limited number of consultations available, we require you cancel your session by emailing hello@sketchdesignrepeat.com a minimum of 48 hours before your scheduled time. If you cancel 48 or more hours beforehand, you will receive a full refund.* If you cancel less than 48 hours before your appointment, NO REFUND will be given.
*We use Euros and exchange rates change daily. If you use another currency please be aware that the refund amount you receive may not be exactly what you paid. We are NOT responsible for paying you for the difference in the exchange rate.
Consults are on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, alternating mornings and afternoons (in Dublin, Ireland) every other week. Sessions can be booked up to 4 months in advance.
Click here to view ALL currently available times – they should appear in your local time zone. Times with a (P) at the end indicate afternoon times. Due to Shannon's busy schedule, she's not able to offer sessions outside these times.
Please use the rescheduling link in your confirmation email to reschedule your call. However, you are required to reschedule a minimum of 48 hours ahead of your original time.
If you have any issues rescheduling, please email hello@sketchdesignrepeat.com.
The mini consultation is best when you have 1-2 questions to ask OR 1-3 SINGLE portfolio designs to review (mini collections are also ok) – you will be asked to fill out an intake form after scheduling your session to provide your questions and/or upload images. This form MUST be completed no later than 48 hours before your session.
IF you want her to review more than 3 single designs/1 large collection OR you have many questions, please schedule a 50-minute call so there's ample time to cover everything together.
IMPORTANT: If you schedule a mini consult and ask to review more than 3 portfolio designs OR 2 questions, you will be asked to narrow down your questions/designs. If you feel that is not possible, you'll be refunded and asked to schedule a full consultation instead.
After your consultation, you'll receive an email with a link to a recording of your session as well as any links to resources discussed to allow you to revisit them anytime. If you have short follow up questions on something that was covered or want to share changes you've made to portfolio designs based on her feedback, then yes – Shannon will be happy to respond!
However, ongoing support via email is not something that Shannon currently offers as part of her 1-on-1 consultations. If you have additional questions you'd like answered or new designs you'd like her to review, please schedule another session with her.
While Shannon is happy to discuss which markets/products are best for your art and can offer opinions about companies you'd like to approach, she will not provide company names or art director contact info.
Please understand that as an agent working for Jennifer Nelson Artists it would be inappropriate for her to do so.
Shannon does not have the authority to decide who is offered representation by Jennifer Nelson Artists. Booking a consult with her is neither a conduit nor requirement for representation as an artist at JNA.
No worries! Just email your questions to hello@sketchdesignrepeat.com and we'll help you out.
