Welcome to Mallorca, the land of dreamy coastlines and rugged mountains that have been inspiring artists for centuries!
Arrive at Palma airport and meet up with your fellow attendess before being wisked away in your private transport to our villa. Settle into your room, then join Shannon for welcome cocktails followed by a relaxing dinner.
Day 1: Saturday, Sept 22
Day 1
Shake off your jet lag with a late breakfast, followed by a business workshop that'll ease you into the week. By the end of the session, you'll gain some clarity on what the next step in your biz should be.
After lunch, immerse yourself in art making. Shannon will guide you through a hand-lettering lesson inspired by vintage travel labels where you'll build a short phrase from scratch. Then enjoy a couple of hours of free time before a delicious dinner.
Day 2: Sunday, Sept 23
Day 2
Following breakfast, head to the Jardines de Alfabia and get inspired by the local flora and a stately manor with details that date back to 1170. Afterward, enjoy a leisurely lunch at a local finca before heading back to the villa.
In the afternoon, join Shannon for a special business workshop – the topic will be created based on attendees pre-trip feedback – followed by a little bit of free time and a delightful dinner.
Day 3: monday, Sept 24
Day 3
After breakfast, it's time for a creative session where you'll use yesterday's garden visit as inspiration to create a botanical illustration.
Break for lunch, then join Shannon for an open discussion about creative business where you can ask her anything – this is your opportunity to get candid answers to your burning questions. Mid-afternoon, you're free to take a nap or relax by the pool until dinner.
Day 4: tuesday, sept 25
Day 4
Fuel up for our day of exploration before making your way to Pollença to visit Teixits Vicens, a family-run artisan textile factory. Get a guided tour of the facilities, followed by free time in town for lunch.*
Then it's time to head to the beach! Soak in some sun at Cala Sant Vicenç before heading back to the villa. Relaxed and inspired, you can reminisce about today's activities over dinner.
*This is the only lunch not included.
Day 5: wednesday, SEPT 26
Day 5
Settle into the day with breakfast, then Shannon will lead you through a marketing workshop. With her guidance, you'll start to build a unique marketing plan for your art business.
After such a thought-provoking session, relax during lunch and some free time. Then unwind from the day with a sommelier-led Spanish wine tasting experience at the villa before finishing the day with a delightful supper.
Day 6: thursday, SEPT 27
Day 6
Enjoy breakfast followed by our last creative session. This time you'll focus on patterns as Shannon leads you through a fun tutorial where you'll create a repeat inspired by traditional Mallorcan textiles.
After lunch, join your fellow attendees for an art review session and get feedback on your portfolio.
Then it's time to party! Slip into your finest outfit for a poolside cocktail party followed by our farewell dinner.
Day 7: friday, SEPT 28
Day 7
Savor the last breakfast together as a group then board your private transport to the Palma airport.
But the fun doesn't end there! You'll still have your post 1-on-1 private call with Shannon to look forward to in the weeks ahead.

When I first started working with Shannon at Sketch Design Repeat in 2020, we immediately bonded over our shared love of travel. I'm truly happiest when exploring new places and what makes it even better is getting to share these experiences with other passionate artists.
My goal as the on-site event coordinator for all SDR retreats is to provide each attendee with the support they need to have a relaxed and transformative experience.

My purpose with these retreats is to develop deeper connections with artists, share my love of travel, and provide more personal attention than I'm able to offer in my online programs.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who is this retreat for?
This retreat is for artists who are serious about building their careers so it’ll be ideal for those looking to refine their businesses, realign with their goals, and recharge their creative batteries. Shannon's experience is in art licensing and surface design, however, artists with all backgrounds and careers are welcome. This retreat is not suitable for hobbyists.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions or those with accessibility requirements?
Absolutely, we'll do everything we can to ensure your comfort! After paying your deposit, you'll be asked to fill out an attendee details form where you'll tell us about yourself, including dietary restrictions and accessibility requirements.
However, most bedrooms are up at least one flight of stairs. If you require a ground level room, please contact us BEFORE paying your deposit. Also, please be aware that cobblestones, stairs, gravel and uneven pavement are common in Mallorca and you should be able to walk on uneven ground for a distance of at least 1 mile.
If you have favorite snacks, we advise you to bring your own as the local supermarkets may not have your preferred item.
What are the COVID safety protocols or restrictions?
Your well-being is our top priority, so to ensure the health and safety of everyone we REQUIRE that all attendees are fully vaccinated. We also REQUIRE all attendees to test for COVID upon arriving at the retreat. Attendees are also encouraged to bring and use masks and hand sanitizer.
Please Note: If you feel unwell before you leave for the retreat, please test yourself and stay home if you test positive. Because of the viral nature of COVID, should you test positive upon arrival, you will NOT be admitted to the retreat. Understand that these requirements are to ensure that everyone feels safe.
How do I get to the retreat?
Fly into the Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI). You'll meet up with all your fellow attendees at arrivals and then your private transfer will whisk you away to our private finca – the journey will last approximately 30 minutes.
Where is the finca where we'll be staying and what will the service be like?
The finca is located just outside the quaint town of Búger, 40 km north east of Palma.
Staying at a private finca is a lot like staying at a friend’s home or a fancy AirBnB rental. While the estate has been recently renovated and will be very comfortable, it is NOT a four-star hotel with room service, daily housekeeping, or front desk type service. Also, please note that taxis are not be readily available outside of the Palma area.
What time should I arrive and when is check out?
Check in at the villa is 5 pm. Please book a flight that arrives no later than 3 pm on Saturday, September 22. Airport pick-ups will be scheduled around 4-4:30 pm. If your flight arrives later than 3 pm, you'll need to arrange your own transportation to the villa at your own expense.
Check out time will be at 9 am on Sunday, September 29 and we will be providing transportation back to the Palma airport. If you'll be utilizing our airport transport, please do not book your return flight before 12 pm.
What should I bring?
A month before the retreat, you'll receive a recommended packing list from us via email. However, since this is both an art and business focused retreat, make sure to bring:
• Your laptop or tablet – wifi is available in all rooms
• Your preferred art supplies – whether it's just a sketchbook or paints, bring what you most love to use!
• One fancy outfit – we get dressed up to celebrate during our special farewell dinner
• Sleeping mask – if you're sensitive to early morning light because the sun gets up pretty early in sunny Mallorca!
What's the weather like in Mallorca in September?
Daytime temperatures average a comfortable, yet warm 75-82F (24-27C) while it cools off just a bit in the evenings with nighttime lows at 62F (17C). Fall is a slightly more rainy time of year, but it only rains an average of 5-7 days per month.
What if I'd like to extend my stay in Mallorca before or after the retreat?
